In the third edition, The Lissome N°3: They envision a synthesis of the intimate and the celestial and take a playful dive into the galaxies of outer space and inner worlds. They aim to create a vision board for (a) collaborative future(s), a living breathing commons, filled with cosmic laughter and universal love.

They listen into a new epoch and sense an ancient network of interconnections. Where is our place as humans in the vastness of the night sky? Star seeds are gathering, and the sanctity of the commons shows us a path: we can rebuild our world by coming together and reclaiming our shared prosperity and aliveness. The sacredness of space is not for one to rule but for all to steward. Our future is a pluriverse.

The magazine includes a complimentary guidebook, The Book of Kin. Besides a curated selection of slow makers and kin-spirited brands who reflect their and our values and love for thoughtful craftsmanship and beauty, it features four interviews with slow clothing vanguards who share insights into their best practices.

THE LISSOME
THE LISSOME is an award-winning independent fashion magazine envisioning holistic (fashion) futures, by bringing forward a culture of regeneration, compassion and cooperation and placing human and non-human wellbeing first. The magazine provides a nourishing space for conversations and contemplation within the interdisciplinary framework of design (ranging from fashion, arts and crafts, architecture, farming, ecology and Indigenous wisdom).

With its headquarters in Berlin, it is created in collaboration with writers, photographers and artists from around the world and published annually by THE LISSOME non-profit organization. THE LISSOME is designed by Lissome Studio, a creative practice known for its thoughtful and refined approach to creative direction, print media, photography and branding.

Naming the magazine after the 18th-century word “lissome” meaning “gentle, calm, gracious, kind”, we set out to tell our stories in a gentle and joyful way, by means of beauty, manifesting the energy we would like to see in the world. We believe that beauty nourishes and guides our souls by connecting us to the ultimate mystery and sacredness of life, and the wonder of being alive.
