*Bonomia derives from the French term bonhomie and literally means cheerful friendliness; geniality.
STUDIO BONOMIA was born from the urgency of Elena Braida to explore ideas and develop products around the notion of conviviality.
As cooking has always been her first source of income, she decided to embrace it and include it in her final year during which she investigated in her final thesis the notion of recipes as a literary genre and developed a whole platform where the recipe for gnocchi of her grandmother Laura was executed and brought to life during the Graduation Show.
Grembiule (apron) is part of the collection of ingredients produced for the final project ‘Cucina, è bello!’ (‘Cook! It’s beautiful!’), designed and produced in the confinement of her domestic realm in Amsterdam.
Grembiule is composed of two geometrical patterns held together by 2 crossed strips.
One longer than the other, it is inhabited by the head and laced by the continuation of the collar. The symmetrical aperture makes the apron reversible, creating the possibility to switch sides as one pleases.
Material: Cotton / Linen
